This dream that I had this morning was very interesting & I believe I know what it means, but I'd like more opinions on this

I dreamt that I had to go to the bathroom REALLY bad & I'm running around town looking for some place to go

But every place that I go to either has no bathroom or a really hideous bathroom or the bathroom is way too public for me to use

One of them was right on some busy sidewalk in Philadelphia (for those who don't know, my boyfriend is from Philadelphia so that might be some type of hint there) ok not ON the side walk but it wasn't private enough for me, people were passing by & the bathroom was RIGHT THERE encased in 4 flimsy walls like regular bathroom places have

At one point, I remember even climbing through some window to get to some college to see if they had a bathroom but I never did find one & I was directed towards the back, where again, there was no bathroom

So a few minutes ago, I did look up what Bathroom meant: It meant that there is something that I need to cleanse/purge/eliminate from my life that isnt working or that has served its purpose & now its time to move on

I get that, I have been doing alot of thinking about a present relationship and all the ways in which I have not honored/cherished it for the awesome thing that it so often has been for me

I'm wondering if thats exactly whats going on or is there more?

Do you mean you were looking for a bathroom in the American sense, as in you needed to pee? Marcia might say you maybe just needed to go to the toilet... or did you need to find a bathroom to wash in?

I'm assuming that I needed to pee, but I just could not find the "right" bathroom

It wasnt like the normal bathroom dream where you really have to go in real life so you find yourself dreaming about toilets I know it wasnt that because I remember getting up around 6:30am & going to the bathroom...this dream came after that so I was already empty in that sense

In the dream, I dont remember a physical sensation of having to go but I got the feeling that I really did have to go & was going all over the place trying to find the "right" bathroom

None of the bathrooms were good enough or there were none available where there should have been & it just increased my frustration

I did have a really odd feeling about the bathroom that was in Philadelphia...for some reason it felt like Christmas was in the air and here I am trying to use this very public bathroom in the middle of the sidewalk during the holidays

Not sure what the holiday deal means but this is definitely a first for me, running around looking for a suitable potty...if I had to go as badly as the dream implied, wouldn't I just have gone anyway no matter how skanky it was??

Of course the bathroom & the search is strictly a metaphor....but for what?

Could it be that I'm searching for the "right" words in which to "purge" myself?

Okay so you didn't need to pee in waking life; in that case needing to pee in dreams represents a need to release repressed emotions and/or anxiety, I guess you're wanting to release these feelings but you're having difficulty finding a place where you can do that comfortably. Like you need to release all the pressure without exposing yourself at the same time. What do you think of that?

AAAAAHHHH I like that! That makes alot of sense although sometimes there is no comfortable place to release feelings if you're not use to doing that

I never was, but I have been thinking about this alot lately, have read some spiritual materials & maybe I'm ready for the release and this is what the dream was about: Being ready but not sure how it'll come out but its something that has to be done for my own sake

I'm not really scared but this is definitely new ground for me
