FrogeT is on the dream path to enlightenment
Default Reoccurring Dream

Ok, well I will be doing whatever, it varies, but no matter what after short ammount of time everything seems to run, like watercolors on a canvas that’s getting sprayed with a hose. Then, I am standing on a giant checkerboard surface which is completely flat. Then the ground next to me starts to become a slight angle which slowly increases. Soon I am sliding out of control on this checkerboard/plastic type surface. Suddenly I see a hole in the ground. The hole is around the size of an average house and I slid into it and just fall. Nothing crazy is happening I just fall continuously. Anyway lately I’ve almost wanted to have it its very tranquil once you get used to it.

Any suggestions on what it means, or is it just what it appears to be?
Thanks

Not sure if falling into a hole makes any difference but the dictionary says this about falling:

Quote:
Falling

Dreams about falling are very common anxiety dreams that can represent underlying fears and feelings of inadequacy and helplessness. Interpret your dream by considering your primary fears, current difficulties, and situations in your life that seem to be on a downward spiral, especially those situations that seem outside of your control (financial, romantic, etc.). Some people believe that if you keep falling in your dream and don't wake up that you will die at the point of impact. This is absolutely not true. In a falling dream you wake up out of fear and not because of danger of dying.

Dreams about falling may also point to the fact that the dreamer has overachieved in some way, professional or emotional, in waking life. If you fall from a high building it may suggest that you need to learn more before you are fully comfortable with a promotion at work or some elevated social/status position.

If you are in the strange hypnagogic state between waking and sleeping when you dream of falling or (more commonly) tripping over, it may suggest that you need to get in touch with your more basic instincts and emotions.
