LadyDragon is on the dream path to enlightenment
Default House Dreams

Hi everyone, I'm new here.
Well, I just wanted to read some thoughts on my 'house dreams' as I call them. I understand that houses represent self...

I'm always in some different house, exploring. The houses are never mine, I do not recognize them, and they are always Huge. I'm talking expansive beyond belief. It seems I can walk for hours and still not be finished looking at everything. I walk through theses houses, checking out their little nooks and crannies, secret passageways, unique rooms, etc... They are almost always richly decorated. To have a house in real life as the ones in my dreams seems almost impossible. They bring to mind something out of an MC Escher painting, except that they are logically correct. These dreams are never unpleasant, as I am always eager to find what is 'around the next corner'. I am always alone in these dreams, and it is always very quiet, and a little dark, kinda how it is right before sunrise.
These dreams seem to go on for hours. I'm always glad to have them, as opposed to the anxiety dreams that I have frequently.

Thanks for any thoughts

I have always had the same types of dreams, except I grew up in apartment buildings, so I have dreams about apartment buildings with strange passageways, rooms in odd places, elevators going sideways instead of vertically, etc. Like yours, everything is MC-Escherish. They are usually recurring-type dreams, where in the dream everything is familiar and I know exactly where to go. It seems like the house/building might represent the mind, which often works in strange, convoluted ways.

I'm sorry you have lots of anxiety dreams, though.
