so i'm in this odd room and i see a glimmering light i head to it and find out it is a reflection of me and for some reason i decided to stand there and look at the mirror but not my reflection.

Interesting how you decide to look at the mirror but not yourself. (It seems like it would be hard to do that unless maybe you were examining the back of the mirror?)

It seems like you are trying to go beyond looking at appearances (your reflection) and trying to learn why things seems to be the way they are (the mirror causing you to see a reflection).

A light would be associated with knowledge.
