disturbedyoungone is on the dream path to enlightenment
Default I need help.

For the last two days I have been having very disturbing dreams. It has not been so much the dreams that have disturbed me, but what happened after.

First Dream: I was in a city, it was empty and lifeless. I was walking through it alone. They were... Things behind me. I couldn't turn around so I couldn't see them. They were whispering things, I couldn't tell what. Then I was in the same city, but it was burning. Bodies littered the ground and the thing were chasing me, whispering loudly, but I still couldn't tell what. Then I woke. I'm sure I was awake. but I could still hear them whispering.

Second dream: Like the first I was in a city, but this one was alive, just empty. The shadows were there again. I could see them this time. They were Looking at me and whispering. When I woke they were also there. I could see them just under the edge of my bed. They were still whispering and I'm afraid of what might happen next.

Please help me.

It's normal to have hallucinations when you are waking up. These are called hypnompompic hallucinations. Are you not getting enough sleep or going through a stressful event in your life? That could be contributing to them - and to why you are having nightmares in general. If you continue to feel agitated by the experience as the day goes on, or if you start hearing the whispers or seeing the shadows in the middle of the day, see a doctor.
