A few days ago, I had a dream about my ex. It was a short term relationship and we broke up the relationship mutually about 3 mos. ago. Also, there is no contact.

However, the dream I had a few days ago, I was in my ex's room and standing there watching him as if I didn't exist in the room. So, to say I was more like a ghost in his room watching him. He was curled up on his bed and looked sad, and depressed. I really dont know what the dream is trying to say. Is it me who is sad, which makes no sense because I am happy. Or is it him?

Advices would be greatly apperciated.

I don’t think it has to mean that either of you is sad; I think it more likely that you are wondering how he is and wish there was a way to find out without actually having to see him, so your dream is fulfilling that subconscious wish by having you watching him invisibly – and guessing that he might be sad, or your subconscious may think that seeing him really happy might upset you so it’s decided to show you the other way he could be; the subconscious can be very simple and straightforward with the way it portrays things sometimes with not too many areas in between – so you get happy or sad, bright or dark etc.
