Hello stevengadams, First off there’s no such thing as a dream that means doom and gloom for the rest of your life, or any kind of thing for the rest of your life (unless you happen to know you only have a short time to live); they don’t predict the long-term future. Dreams are all about what’s happening now and what might happen in the near future, based on current information, your past and guesswork as to what might happen next based on your experiences.
Anyway, dreams are all about symbolism; large bodies of water like oceans usually represent your greater unconscious, your emotions and experiences. Any kind of transportation in dreams is usually significant of your journey through life, like in
Rick’s dream here. So you put the two together and see that your dream represents you exploring, voyaging through your deeper thoughts while you sleep. Storms like tornadoes represent some kind of upheaval, in your case quite dramatic, but it doesn’t necessarily mean anything bad – it’s more likely that you are expecting some changes in your waking life soon, or that you’re are experiences some big changes right now and your dreams are reflecting this change.
Another thing with storms, tornadoes and violent seas et cetera is that they always come to an end, they always level out and return to calm. So whatever the change is that you are going through, or are expecting to go through, things will either return to normal afterwards, or the new changed life will become your new normality. I hope all that makes some sense?
