Last night I dreamt that I was in a basement and saw four fish tanks in front of a wall. The top tank had beautiful tropical fish in it, as did the ones under it except the one on the bottom. The one on the bottom had a small dog and another animal I thought was a cat. The tanks were also flowing like a fountain, with the top tank overflowing water from its bottom into the tank below, and so forth. The bottom tank with the animals was not getting wet.

Well, when I saw the "cat" I said, "Here, kitty, kitty, kitty!" The cat turned around and I saw two white stripes down its back and realized it was actually a skunk! I yelled, "Oh My God!" End.

It seems like the cat changing into a skunk is your unconscious mind warning you that something in your life is not really what it looks like on the surface.

Wow! I never looked at it from that perspective.

Seeing the skunk was a surprise and a bit of a fright. It starts out to be an animal I like and don't fear. I also find it interesting that the animals were at the bottom rather than at the top. This probably does represent the lower or hidden depths of the unconscious.
