Hello, last night in a dream, a boy toddler, who was very dirty and stinky, walked up to me, I don't know who he was, but, upon drawing a bubble bath for him, filled with floating toys, he hugged me tight, and I thought, this poor child has never been loved...then, put him in the bath and started scrubbing him down...either the phone rang, or someone came to to bathroom door, and I started talking to them, forgetting completely about the toddler, time passed and the conversation ended...all of a sudden I remembered the child, and wondered, where could he be? All of a sudden I threw back the shower curtain, and there was the toddler floating face down in the water, I screamed, grabbed him and frantically hit him on the back, and while trying to give him mouth to mouth...I woke up, and could not go back to sleep for such a long time, thinking my God, to hurt a child would be the end of my sanity. This dream devestates me...what could it mean?

It sounds like the child represents something that needs to be nourished, but has, or might be, neglected. This could be anything that is important to you and needs extra care--a project you are working on, maybe, or perhaps a diet and exercise program, anything that needs care and hard work.

The dream might be telling you that you've been neglecting this thing, or it might just be reminding you how important this thing is, and that there will be bad consequences if you do neglect it.
