I had a really weird dream several months ago that I've been trying to find the meaning of.

Okay, it started out with me going to my friend, Frodo's house. Except where Frodo's house was supposed to be was my other friend, Moosey's house. For some reason, this didn't seem out of the ordinary. Anyways, me and Moosey started doing stuff and then my other friend, Rachel came over. She's a flute player in the school band and for some reason, in my dream, she turned evil and stabbed Moosey with her flute. so then me and Moosey ran to my house to get away from Rachel and when we got there, it turned out that Rachel had taken over my house and used it for a secret evil base. So then she held Moosey and my other friend, Helga hostage until I gave her something, but I don't remember what. Then me and Moosey and Helga escaped...

It's hard to tell what the dream means without knowing what the people in the dream mean to you. The dream may not actually be about these people, they could represent ideas or qualities in yourself.

The stabbing and then escaping at the end may have to do with a problem you want to escape from.

I don't know why you think you need mental help. This seems like a pretty ordinary dream.

Well, it seems pretty weird to me. Okay, what they mean to me...

Moosey is my best friend. We have about 100 inside jokes and she can always make me laugh. She's really depressed lately and it's kinda frustrating to hear her talk about how much she hates herself. She's really a better person than she gives herself credit for.

Frodo, whose house was replaced by Moosey's, is insane. I can always count on her if I need to get hyper and start quoting Lord of the Rings.

Helga... Helga is another good friend. She's obsessed with about 7 or 8 guys at the moment and we also share about 100 inside jokes. We refer to her as 'the queen of fluff (Romance stories), awkward moments, and ketchup. She has a weird laugh and weirder stories. I had the misfortune of reading Moosey's emails... Helga sent dialogue for story ideas. (Shudders) You don't want to know. ^_^

And Rachel. Well, Rachel is a good friend, but we're not as close as Moosey and Helga and me. She's a flute player, and we used to hate her for that. Saxophonists and flutists don't get along in our band. And she can get annoying really easily.

I think this dream means that you are thinking about Moosey and her depression. The change in the house from Frodo’s to Moosey’s means that you want to think about Frodo (someone who can cheer you up) but you can’t stop thinking about Moosey. Rachel probably representswhatever is making Moosey depressed. Giving Rachel something to free Moosey and Helga (who probably stands for positive things) means that you want to be able to do something to make Moosey feel better.
