I had a dream a couple of years ago that I was in a large, beautiful field. It was a truly magnificent place, flowers, sunshine, like a great summer day. I was standing in the field next to a little girl. She looked about 3 years old. She was wearing a dress and she looked beautiful. I never said a word to her in the dream or interacted with her in any way. As we were standing in the field a man approached. He walked up to us (I say us because we were standing next to one another) and had a shotgun in his hand. I don't remember exactly what he looked like but I think he had long hair. He walked right up to the girl and shot her in the head. I stood by and watched and there was never any fear for my life as if he might shoot me too. He never looked at me. It was like I wasn't even there. The other thing about the dream was that there was no sound in the dream. It was visually rich and beautiful but mute, never even heard a gun shot. The dream ended as I looked down at the girl's body. Her head had basically been blown off.

The little girl could stand for a new idea or a new possibility in life. The dream may have to do with feeling that your hopes for something have been shattered.
