Hi, I’m a 27 years old woman and I’m new of the forum. I hope someone could help me with my dream. English isn’t my first language so you’ll forgive me if I write in a poor form… Well, in my dream I’m on a trip with a friend of mine and we’re going to a mountain with his car, he’s driving it. Let me add that, a couple of days before my dream, we enjoyed together a real trip to a similar mountain place. Outside there’s a lot of snow (but there wasn’t any in the real trip, it was during this summer, no snow at all) and, at one point, he stops the car and we go out. In a hidden place he finds something in the snow (over the snow): a very beautiful sea shell, perfectly integral and good looking, and he gives it to me. The sea shell is cave, like the ones you can hear the “echoes” of the sea if you put it over your ear. So I look by myself in the same place he found the shell and I find two other sea shells but kind of different from that one: one is red and has the shape of a star and the other one is a more common one. But both are not beautiful like the one he gave me and are kind of worn out, they lack some partsa nd doesn't look very good. I’m sure, because I feel it in my dream, that the beautiful shell represents this friend of mine while, the others, two special fiends I met before him that I like not only as friends. At one point I met two old women, they’re about the age of 60 years old and they’re dressed like very common old ladies, they look like very normal old women of that age. They ask me for the shells and I put them in their hands. Of the three they immediately choose the beautiful one and they want to keep it, I don’t mind about that and I let them keep the shell. Then the friend of mine becomes angry because I let them keep the shell he gave me as a present.
I know it’s a very strange dream and maybe diffult to understand but what could it mean? Am I in love? Thanks a lot, any help in understanding myself would be very appreciated!

It is very likely that the first shell represents not only the friend you went traveling with, bu also represents the best of himself to you. That is was found on "white snow" indicates to me a clarity of new beginnings and a "fresh start". The two shells you found on the snow [again, new beginnings] were still not as "whole" as you would have possibly wished them to be, and they made your friend's shell stand out even more. You could see in the other two their "faults".

The two old ladies who intrude upon your presence are possibly people who would keep you from realizing your dreams. They recognize that this friend may take you from them. However, that you don't mind sharing the best of the shells [ergo, the man you are with] indicates possibly that while he is the best, you are either free with your emotions to let him go. As a result, being that he gave you the first gift, he was upset/angry that you did not see him fit to "keep" to yourself.

Are you in love? Hard to say. What do you think?

Your point is very interesting, thanks for sharing your opinions. I still don't understand very well the role of the old women, who they are? Why do they choose the beautiful shell? I don't know if I'm in love with this man but the sure thing is that, under my eyes, he has more than the others.

Older people are usually considered to be "wiser". It may be that you are subconsciously looking for an elder's approval. It also seems to come through that you may also want someone else to make an important decision for you, and you left that choice of your mate in their hands.
