Bizarre:

I'm observing a man giving a report (news?). Then I see him on the floor in a corner, only his upper body is present, and he's covered in dragon flies. There is a dragon fly on each eye. I'm not sure if the man, with only an upper torso, is dead or not. I sense he may not be.

Then a black cat walks by in front of the torso. It's eyes are also covered in dragon flies and it's meowing--almost howling. End.


I feel this dream has more of a universal and symbolic meaning than a personal one. Perhaps it is both. Images of the aftermath of hurricane Katrina are still etched in the conscious of people who regularly watch the news and it sure has affected me!

I do think the hurricane coverage plays a part in the images.

These are such strong symbols. It sounds like it could definitely be about Katrina.

Although, personally, if I dreamt about a black cat it would be a postive dream. I love all colours of cats.
