I dreamt yet again I was back in the small apartment that my Mom and I lived in for many years when i was 6 or 7. It was a rat and roach infested place not in my dream but in real life. We had a sliding door for a front door. The thing was the sliding door was broken and could never lock so it wasn't the safest place but we were okay.

Well in the dream I was back there but I was living there by myself and all grown up. I was getting ready for bed and checking all the doors when there was a sharp knock on the sliding door and a man with a deep voice said "your door is unlocked!". I walked up to the sliding door which had a curtain covering it and said ok and waited until he left so I could try and fiddle with the door so it would lock or something. He wouldn't leave!. He pushed opened the door and grabbed for me......I yelled in fright and woke myself up. For some reason I always dream about this little apartment that my Mom and I lived in. I hated it there cause it was so small. Can anyone help me in figuring out this dream?

Whoa, what a scary dream!

One explaination could be that you are feeling insecure in some situation. Insecure = lack of security. I don't know your age, but if you are all grown up, perhaps you are undergoing adult responsibilities, some of which seem a bit frighttening to you.

Also, you may have experiencecd some emotional upset or thought that brought you back to a time in your life when you were 6 years old. Something happened to you that made you experience the same emotional gut reaction that you felt back then.

You make some very good points. I'm almost 30 years old. I am about to purchase my first house and a little nervous about that. Maybe it's my subconscious mind....Although I have no idea what happened to me while my Mom and I lived there that I'm always dreaming about that place but it's so weird All I know is it's never a good feeling when I wake up.

Last night I had another dream. In which my father was in a lot of pain. I couldn't figure out if he was clutching his chest or his stomach. All I can remember from the dream was a very vivid picture of him in the back seat of a car in excrutiating and me in the drivers seat trying to get to the nearest hospital. I don't remember anything else.
In real life I live far away from my parents so I'm a bit worried and will be calling him today to make sure he's okay.

I agree it is a good idea to call your dad. I hope he is OK.
