Im in a dance hall. There are several couples dancing together and dressed elequently. My partner is actor Rene Auborjonois and we dance a fast paced tango toward the exit door. Then a couple of men, dressed in fifties gangster attire, burst in through the exit door and demand that my partner go with them outside. He reluctantly agrees, although I suspect that he knew this was going to happen because he led me to the door in the first place. end

The Dream Dictionary says that dancing refers to a happy time, but it makes me think of moving without really going anywhere.

That could be where the gangsters demanding that you go outside, and your exiting, come in.

Maybe the idea of being stuck in a rut, but not totally realising it?
