It feels like I'm in a foreign world. I first witness an execution, a man is drawn and quartered by horses that run off with the man's limbs tied to them. I turn away in horror.

Then I'm witnessing, from a short distance outdoors, one man who is being held captive with his hands tied behind his back while a few others hold on to him. They bring him to another man who is wearing a blue cover-all suit and cooking something in a pot. I hear someone whisper to me, "It's poison." The man turns around and throws a rock at the captive's head and knocks him down. Then the man goes over and kicks the captive, in the head and face, to death. I watch in horror!

Then I see a hapless and simple man, who was caught up in circumstances, being taken away by people in a car. He is fooled into thinking he's going to a better job--he is not. He will probably be not heard from again. This is a palce where even the appearance of improprioty against the leading mob can get you killed. end

I'm currently reading the classic, 1984 by George Orwell. You know, the one about "big brother." I think it's starting to have an affect on my psyche.

1984 is probably affecting your dreams, but also, you may have the idea that in real life some people are being treated unfairly or people are being blamed for, or blaming themselves for, things that really aren't their fault.

Yeah, it's not just the novel that's affecting my dreams, but news of around the world!
