Default The Peculiar Porcupine

dream 12/12/05

I'm either a contestent or actor in a TV show. A man is walking around carring a porcupine. Much is going on but I forget now what has happened.

Next scene, I pull up into my folks driveway and see the man with the porcupine again. He is holding the animal like a baby and I wonder how he can do that without getting stuck with quills. My dad comes out of the house and the man hands the porcupine to my dad. I warn him, "You'll get stuck!" Sure enough, my dad gets a dart sized quill through two fingers and part of his hand. The quill has what looks like a label on it, with perhaps a seriel number. end

Do you get porcupines near where you live in waking life? Come to think of it I'm not actually sure where they come from? I always think of them as kind of nice to look at, like a skunk without the stink, but obviously they are difficult to handle because of the quills - I think I only ever saw one for real though in a zoo.

Funny now that you mention it. I hit one while driving my dad's truck. This happened a few years ago. My car was in the garage and I hit an animal just before heading into the capital of Augusta on my way to work, but wasn't sure exactly what I hit.

I told my dad I thought I hit something. He said, "Yes, you did!" and showed me a bunch of quills he scraped from the tire rim!

In real life, sometimes we can do difficult things if we don't think about them, but just go ahead and do them; once we start thinking our negative thoughts trip us up. It seems like the dream was sending you this mesage.
