Last night I had a dream that I was in the bathroom, by the door, and I dropped a crystal clear glass of water. It shattered, and I stood there looking at it for a while and had this feeling like "I have to clean this up", but I just stood there staring at it.

Water is often a symbol for the emotions. Since the glass shattered, my guess is that your emotional state is rather fragil at the moment. You may have recently experienced a hurt.

The fact that you just look at it instead of cleaning it up suggests that you may be feeling depressed. Depressed people don't have the energy for doing much. Or you could be confused as to the right couse of action in fixing your problem. This is causing inertia.
