I don't know where I was, but I was with 9 people I didn't know. My husband was not there, nor were my two young children. This bewilders me, but I find myself relieved. The house we are in is a large one, but looks somewhat old Out the windows, there is a cloud cover so thick you couldn't tell what color the sky itself is, and the clouds are fast moving. It is pouring. The house we are in is flooding slowly. While I'm watching the clouds, I see what must be the eye of the storm, and the rains calm, but I feel an overwhelming sense of dread. The eye passes, and then I see the wave. It is huge, and coming from a southwest or southeast direction, I can't recall which. It hits and all the windows implode with the force of it. I'm swept back, clinging to a beam, with 3 other people also holding the same beam. The initial force passes and we start trying to swim, then wade, to get out. The going is slow, as there is a good deal of water in the house now. Nearing the doorway (as the door itself is gone in all the water), I look out and see another circular hole in the tumultuous clouds. Another eye. I yell for everyone to take hold of something, monkey on and don't let go...And then we're slammed with tons of water. People are screaming and gurgling, fighting their way to the surface of a rapidly filling room. The water level drops as it flows out of the house. We're scurrying like mad to get out, get somewhere safe, or at least safer than this. There are 8 of us left. Out the door, wholly drenched, slipping and falling in the torrential rain, and we see ray of sunlight glinting off of a huge building. It looks beautiful, and it is still standing. We run for it, quickly, because seeing the sun was a bad thing, it was shining through another swirling break in the clouds, and that is passing fast. Into the building, everyone grabs on, and another wave plows us. Windows and doors shattering, someone is snatched away by the water, they're gone. It ebbs, the level drops. There are two more cloud breaks...Two more eyes. Two more waves, and as the second of these pass and the water ebbs away, there are only three of us left. The others just couldn't hold on. We have to move, find better shelter. Out into the driving rain again, searching frantically for a place to weather this storm, surely it must end soon. It goes quiet, and we look to the sky. The eye, passing much faster than the others, and no place close enough to take cover. We are caught out. I lower my gaze slightly, and find that it no longer matters. The biggest wave yet --beyond huge, past gigantic, even colossal doesn't begin to describe this wave-- is coming...Is here. I feel the cold spray that runs in front of it, close my eyes. And wake up.

A house that you live in in dreams usually symbolizes different aspects of yourself, while water and storms are all connected with emotions - so I wonder if there is some kind of upheaval in your life right now?

As far as I could tell, I didn't live in that house, I was visiting it. I have no clue where it was, or who the other people there were.

There are no upheavals in my life, that I know of. I'm happily married, we just celebrated our 4th anniversary back in March...two small children, I stay home with them while my husband works, and I love that I can do that. The bills are paid on time, we have food, everyone is healthy. So I really haven't a clue.
