Seance Dream
I had this dream last night, between 2 am and 4:45 am.
I'm visiting a house I don't recognize, with my sister Tarra. We're there so we can help our Grandpa take care of Grandma (our Moms parents), but these people are NOT our grandparents. Tarra is sitting on a bed across the room from me, with a dog beside her. As she's talking to me, the bedframe shudders visibly, as if struck, but neither she nor the dog has moved. I can see the fear in her face, and after a few more times of this, the dog gets up and comes to where I'm sitting.
Then I'm outside on the lawn, talking to the elderly neighbor couple, and petting their dog. The dog is tiny like a Yorkie, but it looks like a poodle. It's licking my hands and face.
Then I'm little again. I'm 5, standing in this room, and sitting in front of me in a chair is a girl who looks to be about 9, and rather mean. I ask her if the house is haunted, and she asks me if I can count. I don't know why she is asking me that, but I lie and tell her that I cannot count, I'm only five. She asks if I've ever had a seance, bewildered, I tell her no. She tells me to say "Seance", I shake my head no, and then she yells "SAY IT!", her face contorted with rage. I'm scared, and I want her to leave me alone, so I say it. All of a sudden I'm in a darkened, creepy room, candles all around. There are a bunch of people in the room, but behind me and off to one side. I'm still 5, and now I'm wearing a little black robe with an inverted pentacle on it. The older girl is sitting in front of an old man, who is stretched out on the floor, unmoving, wrapped in a black sheet. I whisper to the girl, "Is he dead?", she replies, "Yes, keep saying seance though.". I do, and the man in the sheet starts to move a little. I want to stop, but she makes me keep saying it, and I notice that the other people in the room are chanting it also. The man is writhing, his eyes open, senseless noises issuing from his gaping mouth. I back away, and the girl yells out "You brought him back!". I shake my head no, the man starts laughing, cawing, "You, You, You, You, You brought me back!" and reaching for me. I lose my balance, fall to the floor, and wake up.
As a side note, on our Moms side, our Grandma is perfectly healthy, while our Grandpa passed away in September of 2002. All grandparents on our Dads side are deceased. Also, I know that this is not how a seance is performed, and I haven't seen any "scary" movies lately that could have influenced me into dreaming this.
