This dream was vey long and disjointed (and this retelling is rather long too! sorry!), taking place in a few different locations. I can't really remember everything that happened but here goes:

I walk out of a small, dark house into a very narrow and short street. The houses are EXTREMELY close together, with maybe enough space between them for a butter knife. The buildings were also very, very tall and looking up I could just barely make out faint stars. There were many decorations hung up; red and gold with Chinese characters on them. And I mean many: all of the walls of the buildings were more or less covered. The streets were filled with people. Apparently there was an election taking place later on that night and people were cheering on their candidates. One of the candidates had blue as their representative color, another red, and another yellow. I had no idea who was who so i just decided to walk around and ended up following a man on a strange cart-like car who was for the blue candidate. In one section of town there were shops built into the tightly packed buildings. I found a stuffed toy that I wanted a lot. Before I could buy it though, my friend from school found me and dragged me out of the blue section, into the red. She seemed really angry that I wasn't for the red candidate but I didn't really care so I just joined her and her group.
Next, the dream changes and I'm in a very large doctor's clinic. The clinic has many, many levels, almost like a mini hospital but all of the walls and floors are glass so you can see everyone and everything that is going on. In this part, I was not a player in the dream but an onlooker. A very pregnant woman was getting a check-up from her doctor and was trying to explain she was going to give birth then. However, the doctor didn't believe her and she got very angry. I looked outside and saw three men dressed in black suits and black sunglasses starting to come toward the hospital. I knew they were aliens (hehe) and also knew they were coming to take the pregnant woman away. I got scared and ran down to where they were. I tried to fight them off but couldn't stop their approach. I saw the pregnant woman running out of the doctor's office and trying to run through the hospital.
Again, the dream changes and I'm in my own bed in my own room. However, the room expands and all of the people who live in my house (mom, dad, uncle) are in my room with me. It's New Years, or something like it. It gave us an excuse to stay up very late. We played card games and talked and ended up staying awake until 5am. At this point my mom decided there was no point in sleeping and so she made an executive decision that no one would sleep. I was sort of disappointed because I was very tired.

At this point I wake up. Thanks for taking the time to read it! Any ideas as to what any of that means? Maybe that I'm a bit crazy?

I think the main theme of the dream is obedience to authority.

In the first part, you appear to be in China. China is a communist country that doesn't allow free speech or freedom of expression. They are a bit better than they were about 20 or 30 years ago, but still pretty bad. Your friend shows up and gets angry for not following the red candidate. Red, at least in my country (United States) is the color for communism. We had an old expression---"better dead than red." Anyway, you obediently follow along with your friend's wishes and follow the red candidate.

Are you too easiely swayed by others to follow along? Do you find yourself getting into trouble with this?

Then aliens, another type of authority figure like Men in Black, come for the woman's baby. Are you being influenced by older people? I don't know your age, but if you are in your teens, then perhaps you should watch out for twenty somethings that may push you into things you shouldn't do or are not ready for.

Then your mother "makes an executive decision" to ban sleep. Do you wish you had more time for sleep? Do the people in your life make decisions for you life, now and for the future? I found your terminology (executive) interesting.
