i recently lost my grandfather and this is the first time i have seen him in a dream. i have never been to his grave in real life (i cant bring myself there yet) and in my dream i was at his grave and it was dark and unpleasant. there was a metal structure there, which his body was in wrapped like a mummy. for some strange reason you could rotate this structure and the body would turn over. it was quite gruesome.. i didn't want to turn the body over so i turned around and when i did, i seen my grandfather standing there in white robes and he was glowing white. in life, he was sickly, but here he was standing before me looking healthy and smiling, and he held his hand out to me and inside his hand was a blue wooden bead. he said 'give the diamond to my wife' ...i asked 'who?' and said his current wifes name (who is not my grandma). he replied 'no, the sleep made me confused...you take this' and he handed me the bead. that is about all i can remember, other than that he smiled the whole time, and when he talked to me, his mouth didnt move.

earlier in the dream i can remember moving into a large house which had been inhabited by spirits. i found one, and told her she had to go home and i started to pray for her, but she said that she couldn't leave until she had experienced a kiss. i helped her to do so with someone i was calling my brother (who was clearly not related to me in the dream....i have no siblings that are alive). ...and yet another part of this dream i remember looking inside a cabinet and finding the body of a young blonde woman who i didnt know, who was waiting for her funeral, or so i was told that the cabinet was the 'holding area' for bodies before funeral.....this all happend before i seen my grandfather.

just curious to see what others think...i cant get the image of my grandfathers smile out of my mind...

I get the impression that you were close to your grandfather. Is this why you have not been able to go to his grave?

I see this dream as a positive sign. The first part where your grandfather is a mummy is disturbing to you. This is your old fears of being without him and the pain you feel from the loss being manifested in this image.

Then he shines and lets you know by his smiling that it's OK. The blue bead is interesting. Perhaps he is giving you soemthing for you to take back to the world of the living. A token of rememberance of him?

First let me say, your grandfather was a spiritual man, eh? I think so, and I think this dream is letting you know that there are two realms - the physical and the spiritual. The grave is only a physical place, and the spirit doesn't linger there, the spirit is with YOU. It's really bothered your spirit that you haven't went to the grave, and there's that old expression, "he's probably turning over in his grave." I think this dream was letting you know that he's not turning over in his grave, he's still living in spirit. He is given a white robe and he glows - spiritually this is a good thing! He's smiling because he's seen the glory of God.

The blue bead represents peace and healing and he's offering you peace and healing and you take it. You are to share this information with his wife, and tell her about the diamond (the diamond is for clarity. Let her know he's not resting, he's happy in the Lord and wearing a wonderful smile.

It may get too confusing, but in spirit it was your conceptualization that mattered....so you knew him as a spirit of peace and happiness and basking in the light of the Lord. His smile is what you most recall, because this is the overwhelming thing - he's very happy.

The first part of the dream is about you and what contains you in spirit. In the cabinet (dark recesses) of your spirit, you're trying to make sense of the death process, or maybe life and death and the passing of the spirit to the next level.

You're praying for yourself and asking God to show you the way.

Very good dream from a spiritual standpoint. You're on the right path, and always remember the smile of your grandfather and his giving spirit, and just remember it's good to give healing and peace to others. The best gifts in life can't be bought or sold.

thanks so much for the replies they have helped me alot. ...it was weird today, i haven't even driven by his grave..and today i had no choice but to drive by it twice. the first time i wasnt driving and that just happend to be the way that we went, and the second time we got dirverted by an accident and had to drive by again.

i was very close to him, and i have told his wife about the dream. i even went out and bought her a crystal 'diamond' and gave it to her from him. she was very happy. i also bought me a blue rock that looks strikingly similar to his bead.

Cool! I've done that before, brought a dream image into the physical. Dream author and expert Jeremy Taylor says that all dreams come to us in the promotion of healing and health. This dream certainly fits that bill.

indeed, i deff feel better knowing that he is happy and not sick anymore (he was very very ill for a long time) so it certinally has helped me heal..not completly of course but a bit
