My dad had a weird dream last night and I was wondering if anyone could help with it.

My dad was with an old buddy of his that he only sees once in a great while in waking life. They were driving down a back road that looked like a grassy field row. They were smoking a joint which he hasn't done since he was a teenager. They noticed that everyone in town was gone so they set out to find them. They came to many crossroads and chose the road closest to them. They came to a church in the middle of no where when they see everyone in town sitting in folding chairs outside. There was a huge head in the corner of the gathering. Dad noticed that all the people looked the same. Dad took out a quarter and released it into the giant head like that game on the movie big. Then he noticed that people were going into the head. Everyone that came out had weird looks on their faces and dad's buddy went inside. He ran out yelling. My dad wanted desperately to go inside but everyone prevented his entrance. Dad's friend ran back carrying lanterns and threw them inside. He said that whatever was inside was evil. This was weird, help!

Hmm. There's two ways to approach this dream (as there are with most dreams).

1) This is a personal dream about your dad's struggle with the forces of good and evil. He's led by one who wants to introduce him to evil. The consuming head your dad saw was fear - fear is a vehicle by which the evil one is made stronger, and as he consumes people with fear, he grows and is more powerful. People are praying for your dad, so there's many trying to tell him not to take that path that others have taken it before. The fact that your dad DID NOT enter the "head" is indication whether he consciously accepts it or not, that he inwardly knows the truth, he just doesn't acknowledge it in waking life. The church is the house of prayer - he passes it up for the consuming head (quarter - consumer, eh)? He started to "buy into it." Now, a little lantern is given to him - he and the one who leads him find the light.

2) Your father is being given prophecy - this is what is occuring as we speak - many are made to enter into fear, but fear is not OF GOD. So, many are deceived, but turn away upon finding out the truth. The one known as Satan is growing his empire through fear, as we speak. So, this could be personal or prophetic. Let's see what transpires over the following nights, because he'll have more dreams - everyone is dreaming now. There's one who has little time to grasp the good people, but he's working hard to do it.

The head seems more like it might represent rational thought, rather than evil. Perhaps your father is hoping to use religion (the church) as a way of coping with the truth about something unpleasant, rather than just "facing" up to it in a logical, rational manner.

Of course, this all depends on your father's view of religion.
