Covering a bird of prey in chocolate
Hi,
I have been working night and day for two weeks and Today was the first day trying to relax, so I had a nap on the sofa after dinner. I slept deeply and much longer than intended and had a very odd dream;
"I was at my parents house and it was situated in Australia (In awake life they live in Sweden). I front of the house was a porch hanging out over the sea. I was standigt on the porch and saw at least 10 crocodiles, but also whales and dolphines and NON-water animals swiming around in the sea below me. I turned to my mother and said: "Right, I never realised that there would be so many wild animals in every place in Australia, just that Australia has many wild animals in general." As I walked into the house my parents had a big cage full of dovs and budgies and birds of prey (They do have doves and ducks in awake life.) just inside the door. The cage doors were open and the birds were sitting on stuff a bit everywhere. They were pretty tame and could be petted (I did pet them in the dream, although in real life Im not so keen on touching birds.) Then I proceeded to bake in the kitchen, making gingerbread cookies. When they were baked I dipped the cookies in melted chocholate and put them on line to dry. I fed the birds a lot of ginger bread and a lot of melted chocholate. But I had some melted chocolate left in a saucepan. For some strange reason I started to cover the biggest bird of prey in chocolate. I was careful not to cover the nostrils on his beek with chocolate. When this was done I started cleaning the kitchen - and suddenly paniced! What had I done? How cruel. What would happen when the chocolate hardened again? I took grate roles of paper and started wiping the bird and of course he bit me and pecked me, but I insisted. I could not get all the chocolate off him, it had colored in the white feathers on him and he still looked a state. He seemed pleased 'though and he was out of harms way. "
That was it. Never been to Australia. We have never had a bird of prey, although my parents do keep other birds. I have not made chocolate covered gingerbread cookies in my life. Odd, is it not?
