The House: A Dream in Three Acts
A tractor trailor with a full load is backing out of a driveway. I was pulling in and now must back out as well. The driver turns too sharply and ends up going into a ditch. I run into the house and call 9-11 and say that there's been an accident.
I'm told, "OK, we'll send somebody." I get the sense of time gone by and nobody showed up so I call again. I say "Send some help, quick!" Then I get a call and Im told that help has arrived. One occupent, the driver, is dead and the other one was taken away in critical condition. I have to let somebody know. ?
Then I'm looking out the back door of the house. I see a group of people, a few white, mostly black standing under a shade tree. They are wearing clothing from the 1940's. They've got suitcases and they are milling about, not sure where to go. Then they see me and walk away.
Then me, a co-worker named Nina, and Bobby Goren from Law & Order: Criminal Intent are walking around the house to sit at a picnic table. Two young guys and a young woman come out of the woods and they are acting rather obnoxious. The woman throws stuff in a can at one of the men and my co-worker gets splashed with some and she yells, "Watch it!" and throws an inhaler at her. Then we are at the table and we are talking and the converstation is strange. Goren is acting strange, giggling and childlike, unlike the actual character who is serious and brilliant.
