My dream was very vivid, I was on holiday with some people I know but my attention was focused on a man that is a close friend, we were with many people walking to a hotel room, I think the beach was french or spanish even but there were various beach art along the way and I kept thinking how wonderful as it was very good. I remember when walking in a man that i dont know said to me Id love you, and everyone laughed, in the hotel room friends and family and were talking about going out to bars, one of my friends took a call and i was sitting on the sofa with the man where he was holding my hand..
then out of impulse he kissed me but everytime he tried i had a pacifier ( a dummy) in my mouth, and i kept thinking why isnt he trying to kiss my lips but he seemed quite content, and it was just everytime he kissed me, then i remember in the dream thinking this is a dream you must wake up, and i kept waking then the dream would takeover again and finally i woke up very confused.

I think the pacifier could be a symbol for actually being pacified or settling for second best. The man who tried to kiss you was just there and convenient, but not a true love or someone with whom you formed an emotional bond. Perhaps you are looking for something more meaningful?
