I had a dream that my sister announced that she was pregnant and I was really jealous. I then walked through our garden and there was a tortoise and I was jealous of that and then I went over to a rabbit hutch and the rabbit had babies and I was jealous of that. I don't want children right now, I don't even have a boyfriend, so I don't know why I felt like this or what it means. Any ideas?

Sometimes pregnancy in dreams represents a new idea, project, or relationship. Perhaps there is something new in your sister's or a friend's life that you wish you could have---not necessarily a baby, but just something new.

I see a contrast between the tortoise and the rabbits. It's like that fable "The Tortoise and the Hare." I guess the best thing to do is describe the characteristics of a tortoise, then do the same with rabbits. See if you can find characteristics in both that you wished you possessed.

there was a period of time when i thought i might be pregnant, (which was REALLY scary since im a teenager!) and i had so many dreams involving pregnancy. the thing is, in my dreams i felt really happy having a baby in my stomach or holding it in my arms, and id wake up feeling loving and motherly and what not. i can't say for sure, but maybe youre looking for affection or sincere love?

Thanks for your replies. I cant think about anything new in my sisters life or anyone elses in my family- we're all just plodding along like normal. I didn't think about the whole tortoise and hare thing, but your right it is a wierd contrast. In the dream I was jealous of the tortoise because it has a bump! I looked at its shell and thought about a pregnant belly! So I guess that could be the similarity

I'm 20 and definately not pregnant. Like I said in my previous post, I don't have a boyfriend. I don't think I'm looking for love at the moment- I'm way to busy with other things! I guess I would like to feel loved/affection though so yeah you could be right too.

Oh well, I'm v confused now. I think it could just be a wierd dream and maybe I'm looking into it too much!
