Default my mother, who passed away

Hello Everyone,

I am new here.
Very nice site!

I need your opinions, please...

I am worried about a dream I had, for the third time.

My mother had passed away 7 years ago. I've dreamt of her first, after her passing, in a different situation than the two reocurring ones.

The first one, we were in a back yard, on a lawn chair. She was lying on the chair, and I was sitting at the foot of the chair. It was night time. I was talking with her, and all of a sudden, I realized that she had died and that I shouldn't be talking to her because she was in reality dead. I told her, "mom, how can you be here if you died?" She answered, "But I didn't die. Look." and she pointed to the sky smiling. I looked at the dark night sky and saw some stars, then a bright white light forming a ring. Out of the ring appeared an angel, then the angel was gone, and the hands of God appeared in form of prayer. It was beautiful, and I had a wonderful feeling. Then I woke up.

The next two dreams were the same ones, almost exactly.

I dreamed that my mother was with us as if she never died. In my dream, I suddenly realized that she had died before and why was she alive now? I asked myself, "but my mother had died...why was she alive again, here with us as if she never died?" Then, in my dream, I noticed that my mother came alive again after three days, like a ressurection. THen I woke up.

I would love you opinions on this. I am worried now because I had this same exact dream two times. Maybe more, and I just don't remember the others?

Thanks so much!

I recently experienced a loss, and have dreams where this person is alive but at the same time I know they should be dead. It is unsettling. I think it is because part of your unconscious mind doesn't really understand death - the person is still alive in your memories, after all.

I'm not sure why you are having this dream now, though, so long after her death. Is there something going on in your life now that might be a clue?

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Like Marcia suggested, perhaps there is something going on in your life now that reminds you of something that happened around the time of your mother's death. Some unresolved conflict maybe?

My gut tells me you fear this dream is a portent of things to come. Do you fear it is foretelling a death? Don't fear. Most "death" dreams are a symbol of an ending of something else, such as a job, an old habit, even a belief or idea.

Hi, I am new to this forum as well and recently posted a thread about dreams I have been having of my deceased parents. I have been to the bookstore and bought a few books and have searched the web for the meanings of these dreams. The only dream I can find any information on is the good dream I recently had of my father. This dream occurred about a week and a half ago and it has been on my mind so much that it seems that is all I can think about. There is a book out there I have been trying to locate called "The Dream Messenger", the author's last name is Garfield. The book it out of print, but she has a PDF file on the web of part of book that has somewhat settled my mind as to why I dreamt what I did about my father. Basically all the reading and research I have done over the last week tells me that this pleasant dream of my father that I had and the feeling I had when I awoke was of happiness was that he was letting me know that he is at peace now. I touched him in my dream, he looked vibrant and younger, healthy in the dream. I have been grieve stricken by his death since this past January. Upset over him dying in the fashion that he had. Felt like I was helpless to help him. I am sure others in this forum have had similar dreams and have done research about dreams that would be able to tell you more as well. I have never been so passionate to find out why we have the dreams we have until my recent dream about my father and the effect it had on me. It is truly amazing of all the similar dreams that are out there. Good luck in your quest to find answers. However, I do highly recommend you look for the PDF file I mentioned.
