A few months ago I met this man and very soon after meeting him I had this dream in which he truly cared about me as a human being. I do not remember the dream itself but I woke up knowing that the dream had been about how he really cared about me as a human being, truly cared abouit my happiness and my well being. I was so happy for I never dreamed anything like that.

A few nights ago I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep. I was very tired and was thinking about this man. (We work together but are not close.) As I was laying there I saw, in my mind, what was like two stars with a light glow around them moving towards one another until they collided. Then I shook myself out of it and layed back down to fall asleep and as I was laying there I saw this image of a heart. The bottom tip of the heart was hidden in a cloud but the rest of the heart was above the cloud. Behind the heart and around the heart was what was like a diamond or triangle of gold with lines going through it as if they were etched into the golden triangle or diamond and to the right side of the heart was a sword which was piercing through the cloud at an angle.

I was so tired and eventually fell to sleep. But what does all of this mean?

I gather because you were thinking about the man before you had the visions, that the two are connected.

The heart is most likely for you a symbol of love. The clouds mean that the love itself is cloudy, or uncertain. You are uncertain how he feels about you in reality.

The vision of the diamond with gold lines as you describe it sounds like an engagement ring. This is what you long for, a lasting relationship with him. But because you saw the visions in clouds suggest that that is where your mind is at right now.

Try to look at these images again from upon the ground and see how they materialize in the dream. Try to meld the images together and see what they tell you.

I was wondering if it means anything with the sword and if it means anything that I dreamed he cared for me? I had that dream of him when I first met him and was not thinking anything in particular about him, other than that he was just another guy.

I understand your confusion. I forget that most people don't habitually work with dreams.

The visions took place in the sky and clouds. Maybe you could try thinking about the man again, the way you did before you had the visions of the heart and clouds, but only this time think about standing with him on the ground and then see what images crop up.

Sometimes by putting two contrasting images together, you can get a meaning out of the dreams.

As for the sword, this is an image that has different meanings. For some, it conjures up images of fairy tales such as the Knights of the Round Table and Sir Lancelot. Or it could be a symbol for justice.

So, what do swords mean to you? What about the heart? Did it remind you of anything you've seen in movies or art? How did it make you feel?

Were the clouds dark and stormy, or light and airy?

Descriptions of the images and how you feel about them also provide clues to what the dream or vision was trying to tell you.
